Hello,
I recently came across our old family point and shoot; a Samsung Superzoom 145s with a Schneider-Kreuznach lens. After many years hiding in a drawer I treated it to some new batteries and ran a roll of film through it. I just got the photos back from the lab and what a revelation!
The lens is super sharp with great colours and contrast. At the time I remember spending a bit more than planned on the recommendation of the shop assistant who advised the lens was one of the best he had come across. Sadly that shop and local chain have all disappeared.
I am now thinking I will have to add it to my growing collection of film users along with my Agfa Isolette, Olympus 35 ECR, Nikkormat FTN and Nikon F100.
So, if you come across one in a charity or second hand shop it's a great little camera.
So many cameras, so much film, so little time!
Kind regards,
ft

I had the ECX-1 which i think had the same lens. It really gave wonderful pics but it was so big and it had the annoying feature to switch off after 3 mins which meant that all settings were reverted to default. I found it very annoying. No complain about the lens thought
