And if the ECX-2 had a baby, it would look like this:

Samsung Kenox 100 QS by Greyscale3, on Flickr
Samsung marketed a few 35mm cameras with the "Kenox" moniker in the mid-90's, a name that they later used on a line of digital point and shoot cameras. Most of them (like this one) were part of the "ECX" line. This particular model still shares some of the Porsche styling from the ECX-1 and ECX-2, but in a much more normal sized package. I am not sure which ECX model this particular camera mirrors.

Many years ago, I worked in Jessops, a well known UK camera shop. The Samsung ECX1 was very sought after, we rarely had good stock of it, or even any stock. I seem to recall it got a good review in 'Which?' magazine, after that, it was really popular, and pretty good I think.

For such a late entry into the p&s market, Samsung made some nice cameras. The Maxima Zoom 145 is one of my favorites.

Hi,
Interesting thread. The LCD display suggests the Rollei "X" and "Prego" range. These are cameras that are difficult to get to grips with: best to carry the instruction manual with you all the time.
I prefer the Sumsung "Fino" and "Slim" line and wonder if all the lenses rolled off of the same production line.
Regards, David

I bought one of these for £5 in a charity shop, and that lens really is special.
I've made plenty of jokes about the look of it, but it sits in the hand very well, and very firmly too, and the pictures came out great.
