samsung ex1 major headaches... any help?

dig the camera. really do BUT connectivity with my macs is a no go.

anyone have similar issues? there really is little to no help on the net and samsung seems to not be interested.

mac osx 10.5.7

via the manual it says the camera should show as a drive or icon? on my desktop. when connected and powered on it's a no go.

Does your mac have an SD reader? You might be able to bypass the camera altogether.

John, check page 94 of your manual. You need to set the camera up as a card reader.

Transferring files by connecting the camera
as a removable disk
You can connect the camera to your computer as a removable
disk.
1 In Shooting or Playback mode, press [m].
2 Select n ����PC Software������Off.
3 Turn off the camera.
4 Connect the camera to your computer with the USB
cable.
You must plug the end of the cable with the indicator light (�&#56403😉 into
your camera. If the cable is reversed, it may damage your files. The
manufacturer is not responsible for any loss of data.

What exactly are you referring to when you say it's not compatible with macs?

have a few but when traveling, believe it or not, every little bobble counts. would prefer to skip the card reader if possible.

the mac issue so far is that my macbook pro and imac won't recognize the camera. when i go through the hardware review it shows as connected via usb. doesn't register in any software or as a drive.

If you buy a card reader you'll never have to deal with not having hardware support ever again. They're like $20 or less, and they're no larger than the USB cable you have to carry around anyway. I use os-x supported cameras and I still use a card reader.

well, like i mentioned. have numerous card readers. just prefer to leave them at home on extended journeys.
