I was working with a large DoF kind of on purpose, because I wanted to be able to take a picture without focusing. I wanted to be able to snap someone/something really quickly, before they responded much. This has kind of been my 'style' so far; if anyone here remembers my earlier thread, I had shot a little more open, but still kept a large DoF.
I'm of two minds about all this actually. I'm wondering if I shouldn't keep pressing on with a large DoF, working to better isolate using different shades and seeking out cleaner backgrounds for a subject. I kind of like being able to see the entire context around the subject. I guess the thing to do now is see if I can do a shoot with lots of focusing and isolating, and see how I feel about the other extreme.
