OK all, we've been anti-social long enough...time for a get together! How about Sept 24th or 25th? I think taking over the 2nd floor at The Vesuvio might be fun, followed or preceded by a wander around town.

In addition to our usual gear it might be fun to have a little "ugly/bizarre" camera theme.

Thoughts?
 
Sounds like fun, but that's a bad weekend for me. If I wasn't busy, I'd probably be shooting at the Folsom street fair, which I think is that weekend. Anyway, have a blast whichever way you go!

p.s. I have a Liedorf or a Bolsey which could probably place or show.

Kent, That weekend looks open for me. I have a mild preference for Sunday (when Cal is not playing). I don't have a Bolsey. But I'm sure I've got an ugly camera around here somewhere... (maybe my wife's iPhone).

how about a coffee/camera tour, say bluebottle, fourbarrel, then ritual. I will describe in detail how my new blend kicks a** over these espresso's - then we'll view non-banned 'art' at Ritual ;)
 
I can't make it because I don't use ugly cameras. I use ugly friends all the time, but not ugly cameras.

Could I bring an ugly friend instead? Maybe an alternative to the one that is busy and has a Lierdort and Bolsey?
 
Sug- You better bring that FrankenLeica! I think I'll get a picture with it it's so famous ;-)

Ulysses.o- Definitely a gear geek out. We took the summer off but now it's back!

Randolph45- No offense meant by the T90 comment. I have some uglies I'll be bringing (though the T90 is hard to beat). Maybe the Samurai can dethrone it!

Ted- I don't know, beer beats coffee for me :)

The Folsom Street Fair is the 25th, does that crimp anyone's plans? We could always do it the following week.

Ya, there's a camera show in Hayward on the 25th.
I'm sure folks could find and buy several ugly camera's too, just to fit in>?
 
Lol... I'm sure they could! Ugly cameras are optional in addition to the usual assortment of super-cool gear we all bring.

I'll try to make it as long as Ray doesn't bring his nipple lens again. I had nightmares after seeing him twiddling around with it at our last Beer & Gear. :eek: :D

(edited: wait, I just noticed that Ray can't make it, so I'm safe from the hideous/infamous nipple lens)

I don't want to influence the group's decision because there's a chance that I won't be able to make either day, but if I had a choice, Sunday works better for me.
