California (Bay Area, Northern) San Francisco Beer & Gear

I'll try to make it as long as Ray doesn't bring his nipple lens again. I had nightmares after seeing him twiddling around with it at our last Beer & Gear. :D

Am clueless here. Are we conflating gear with (ahem) subject matter? Mind boggles, innards heave.

If you do it after the 25th, then you can see ugly pictures taken at the fair.

I can't make it because I don't use ugly cameras. I use ugly friends all the time, but not ugly cameras.

Could I bring an ugly friend instead? Maybe an alternative to the one that is busy and has a Lierdort and Bolsey?

Wait a minute....does this explain the PM you sent earlier asking me to show up at Vesuvio's?

How about Sunday the 25th, meet at Vesuvio's at 12 noon? That gives our Sac friends time to get there if they're taking the train. Thoughts?

Sounds good, count me in.

Peter,

Ray's C-mount "teat" lenses were a bit disturbing. Memorable, but disturbing none the less.

That'll work; gives me several hours beforehand to browse City Lights, pick out one of the 'Beats', and read it over a BIG morning cappuccino at Cafe Trieste. Only thing missing will be my '73 Triumph motorcycle... damn those early '70's in S.F. were fun!! :)

If Jamie is coming, I think I'll pass. Last time when he got arrested at SFMOMA, a couple of us had to undergo questioning. Luckily, we were fully dressed, so they took our word that we weren't with him.

Just watch yourselves there at V's.

Don't worry Mike, I think he might be busy taking part in that Nude triathlon along the Wharf.

Kent, I've been so busy - but now that project has been handed over to the software people, I can now get weekends off work.

It will be interesting to see everyones new toys.

Yup, there are always some equipment surprises to be seen. I hope the FrankenFinder can make an appearance, that thing always amazes me.

Sorry I could make it only on 24th not 25th. If I could make it I'd bring a mock-up of my North Beach book.

Upstairs at Vesuvio affords a great angle for shooting the action/inaction at the bar.
