Thought I'd pass this along. I picked up a flyer when I was at State last night; I didn't get by to see it though.
The title of the show is: Outmoded, A Photograpic Intersection of Past and Present
Show Dates: April 20 - May 18, on the terrace level of the Cesar Chavez Student Center at SFSU.
Gallery hours: MTW: 10am - 6pm, ThF: 10am - 3pm

"There is a type of person who will not trade their records for an iPod, who loves their typewriter more than any laptop, and who insists a film has more emotional impact than a DVD.
The Art Gallery presents Outmoded, a collection of works by artist who share this sensibility and communicate their appreciation of phtotgraphic history through their choices of media. These works highlight either the personal relationships photographers have with their cameras or their dedication to antiquated processes.
Spurred by the unbiquity of digital media, Outmoded is an opportunity to reacquaint viewers with outdated forms of phototgraphy. Often involving trial and error, these processes and cameras require an artistic investment, securing the legacy of photography.
The disappearing images, desolate landscapes, and broken or decaying objects in these works generate a sense of nostalgia. These memories, captured on film, are bound to the technologies used to create them, cementing a link between suubject and camera. Although the cameras and preoesses used might be outmoded, the works themselves carry a powerful emotional charge."
