SanDisk SD Pus USB Cards

Rex,
Yes, through the same slot, I'm noticing faster download times for 1GB. Maybe 30 seconds. I haven't timed it with a watch, but I take a card of each filled with photos and the extreme III is maybe 30 seconds faster.

I am not saying that the Ultra Plus isn't convenient. It _really_ is.

MMMM, thats pretty interesting. While I don't find 4 minutes very oppressive on a 1 GB card, I would find 8 minutes on a 2GB to be a bit of a finger drummer. Something to think about before getting the 2GB Ultra II plus over the Extreme III.

I love these purchasing quandaries! And my wife thinks I waste to much time on the internet!

I received a Sandisk extreme III today. I don't know yet whether it will be faster than other cards on the R-D1 or if there's a speed advantage in downloading to my computer BUT it offered capture one LE for free as part of the package so now I get to try epson raw and capture raw. I bought the cheapest deal through Amazon.

Nik :)

I have two 1Gb ultra II of these, they work fine but I think I'm going to get an external card reader, the folding mecanism doesn't seem all that solid. Still it's a great help if you don't have a card reader handy :)

I know they seem flimsy, but I've never had a problem. The coolest feature is you can keep one on the free keychain thingy that comes with the card. I always have a card with me, which has proved to be a lifesafer on many occasions
