Apart from adding my pleasure viewing the outstanding photographs themselves, let me say that these as a whole are some of the best technical prints I've ever seen. Just impressive. If you have been working at this for ten years and cannot get over the hump of getting ready to publish, please consider letting a publisher contribute an editor to manage the process and go back to shooting more photos.

Jeez many thanks Randy - where did you see the prints? In DC or Bellevue?

I think one of the reasons why I’m hesitant to publish a book is that everyone and his brother seems to be doing it, and I think it would be hard to find your place amid the sea of so many other photo books out there. A good friend of mine (and excellent photographer) has taken to self-publishing via Blurb, and has had reasonable success by going that route. Seems that unless you’re ‘known’ or a celebrity, publishers aren’t interested in you, but that’s just my finger-in-the-wind opinion.

I have a show of some of this work next month at the Creative Alliance in Baltimore.

Lots of memories for me here. I used to visit Santa Fe a couple of times a year in the 80s and 90s. Less so in more recent years as it's become more crowded. I've photographed that "Jesus is watching you/Adult videos" sign, attended Fiesta Santa Fe, eaten in most of the affordable Santa Fe restaurants and had some great times in Taos, Cerrillos and Madrid.

The light is special. It's a beautiful place. Might have to head back that way soon. These photos are making me a little "homesick".

Some excellent work here, and I hope to see more. I have lived mostly in southern and central NM, so always enjoy the opportunity to see pictures from other parts of the state.

We have a group, New Mexico Film Photographers, which has been meeting monthly for the past year in Albuquerque. Visitors are always welcome.

I've gone through NM a few times, but not for over a decade unfortunately. I was always interested in the areas of the Turquoise Trail and landscapes. I never photographed much in the cities. I was in a few shows at the Museum of the Horse too back in the day.

These were taken in San Patricio at the artist John Miegs' place back in the mid 90s. He was quite a character. Lived right next to the artist Peter Hurd.

I've run into Michael Hurd at Walmart a few times. Amazingly he recognizes me from looking around his gallery!
