I shot this because I wanted to do a (fiction) photo story. It isn't exactly subtle, and it runs longer than it needs to, but I'm content with the end result anyways.

It was shot on an E-M1 with a Panasonic 25mm 1.4 and two flashes.

Apologies to people using small screens.

While going through the editing stage, I found that I liked a lot of the photos that didn't convey the tone I had originally planned (it is debatable how well I captured that tone in the first edit, but whatever). I liked this second edit as much as the first, consider it the B-side to the first.

I get it, he had his last date with his love, Sarah. Break-ups can be hard, and bitter to the last drop -- so he wanders through the night savoring the times they shared together, and wallowing in the pain with some degree of masochistic relish, coming to terms, he's able to let go as evidenced by leaving her Starbucks cup on the bench where they first met, the remaining drops spilling out -- like their love. Is that it? What do I win? A free vente? Thanks a latte. Would be nice if the subject line could be a bit more descriptive -- that goes for all threads :)

Oh wait, just noticed the ring in the cup, so they were married, she left him for a photographer she met on DPR Review with a big Rolleiflex.
