To be blunt, I had no idea Saul Leiter was still alive.
It's a big scoop for In-Public, it will direct attention to the website, much like the presence of Parke must have done for it in the past. I don't think Leiter needed to join a collective. Not for recognition or to draw attention, his photography has been doing that for him just fine and he's not like that anyway. Somehow I imagine he did it in a spirit of camaraderie to a younger generation that does a kind of photography that is in the margin of serious interest. He just comes across to me like that sort of guy. As I said, big success for In-Public to have him along, well done to them.
.
His street work using color is as colorful as Eggleston. It's kinda shame that Egglestone gets all the praise as the master of color photography.
Great admirer of Saul Leiter and his colour work.
I look at the photos that peterm1 posts on RFF - do I see an influence?
Wish my photos had the quality that Leiter's do.

I like his images a lot. I find them very inspirational... beautiful color street photography. If you like color photography, I highly recommend the book "Saul Leiter, Early Color".
