Hello Photographers,
you all know the "famous" Jupiter 12 35mm 2.8 lens in LTM mount. Wouldn't be nice to make it shorter somehow to let it not block the bottom corner of the viewfinder anymore?

Any chance to do this without harming the mechanics?
I imagine just to cut off the "sunshade" and shorten the aperture controle.

Regards
Paniolo

Are you using it on a Barnack, or on an M? If a Barnack, I guess you are already using an accessory finder. If it blocks the M finder, maybe the simplest thing would be to use an accessory finder there as well?

nananana, i dont like external viewfinders.
I just want to use that on my M2.

Would it be safe to cut along here?

It still looks as though you'll be interfering with the mechanics. Honestly it sounds like a terrible idea and if the view annoys you that much then buy a different lens. If you're really in love with the optics then you could have the lens block remounted into an alternative barrel, but doing that is expensive.
