I know...this is the rangefinder forum, but I have some various, interesting and possibly historically important pieces of computer hardware and I wanted to see if anybody here might be interested before these went to E-Bay. So that I do not get scolded for violating protocol here, at least one of these is photography related. Really. Please send me a PM if you are interested.

1- Five modems and an ethernet card. I think they all work, but can not be positive. Some of the modems are pci connect, and a couple are ISA. Some still have software with them. The ethernet card is an ISA card. Should still be ok, though. $5 plus shipping. Use them for skeet shooting targets if you're not into computers or decoupage them to your bedroom wall and make all your family members worry about you. A lot.

2-Two soundblaster sound cards. One is nice, fairly new with software. It is the soundblaster 16 pci. I was using it in my trusty 233 Pentium computer until I upgraded to a Dell 873,012 ghz special. The other is old with an ISA connect style. $5 plus shipping for both. You can run a microphone through either of these. Figure out how to mount a computer in your car and drive through the neighborhood singing "Hunka Hunka Burning Love" or "The Hokey Pokey Song." Stick with me...I'll have you on some serious disability pay before you can say "Give me some of them chocolate donuts, Priscilla" and then you can drive around singing "Take This Job and Shove It."

3-The Media Circle Video-67TV video card. This is about 6 years old and was never used. It used to be a very popular card for college students...why? Well, you can display a TV program on your monitor (with a TV tuner for input) or you can display your computer screen on your TV. It has the software, 2mg of edo ram, and it is a pci card. It also has some free 3D software and some SEGA titles included. Have some fun. Pretend you're a college kid again. With those modems decoupaged to your bedroom wall and driving through the neighborhood singing, people are not going to have any trouble believing you're back in college. $8 plus shipping.

4-Diamond VideoStar Video Capture Board. Also new, never opened nor used. This is a true video capture board, complete with processorboard and daughterboard, the cables and software. Daughterboard. Why were all computerboards female? We had motherboards, daughterboards, sisterboards...no fatherboards, no sonboards, no brotherboards. Sorry, didn't mean to get off track. This was made by Diamond Multimedia (which was highly respected back when Alley Oop had his computer). This ISA slot board allows you to have high quality motion video on your desktop pc...ie, real-time video capture and playback at a flicker-free 30 frames per second. Video sequences are input from a VCR, Laserdisk or camcorder and then digitally processed for viewing and capture on your PC. You can create Movies and edit them with the included Adobe Premier software. There is more, but I won't bore you with it. You are either a computer nerd or you aren't, after all. Besides, talk like this could be very dangerous for you. You could fall asleep and bang your head on your desktop at any moment. This was a very expensive product when I bought it. I had plans to make a movie, but then somebody told me I looked more like the guy who played "Radar" on Mash than Robert Redford, and I became despondent and discouraged...particularly when I figured out they meant this as a compliment. So, for $15 and shipping, it is yours to have fun with...and maybe make a movie. You could do the next "Blair Witch Project." Who knows. Maybe a docu-drama about Muleshoe, Texas (if anything dramatic ever happens there).

Well, there you go. A veritable treasure trove of stuff and some bona fide free career counseling. Hey, you know what? It is Friday night....$20 plus shipping and all this is yours. Not only do I not resemble Redford, I'm lousy at math.
