Saying hello with a Retina IIIS

Okay, now I'm also going to have to move to your hometown, and rent a place on the same floor. Great view from your kitchen! Beautiful shots around your town, and nice low-light work. I'm really enjoying this thread.

oof, that is a beauty of a camera. I just passed one of those up at a thrift store for $15. It had a sticky shutter and a few other issues that I wasn't confident in fixing myself, but I may be kicking myself now!

I bought another one with the same issues like you said and even the 2,8 50mm for 16,-€ and will send it to Chris in summer together with 2 of my Bessamatic.

This little beauty is the cam I´m searching for.
Light - easy to handle - good lenses - so sad that it was the last of the line.
Just imagine there would be a new Retina Xs to buy - maybe with TTL metering and a faster shutter - and a digital body too!
Oh God I don´t wanna think about it where Leica than would be!!!!

Thanks a lot!

I would move a bit more to the right - next house then you wouldn't get the Street lamp into your view like I have :D

These are just test how this cam behaves - 2nd roll of film und first colour.
The low light shots where @ 1/15 2,8 just to see if you can do it handhold.
Normaly I´m a Kodak guy but I had a roll of Fuji Superia 200 around and gave him a try.
nice Film for low light but a daylight the colours are not mine!

Wow, those are really nice shots! I'm excited to see them as I just received my first IIIS in the mail today. Can't wait to put it to good use!

Some of these pics have been done in "Obergurgl" which is very close to the "Similaun" glacier.
I´m in the lucky Situation that I life in a place like this and could travel it every day with my truck.

Thanks!
At the moment the Retina is loaded with a Porta 160.
The last EliteChrome rolls are in the freezer to save them up for special use.
