I've been trying to figure out how I can effectively create contact sheets with my v500. After sleeving all my negs into a PrintFile sheet, I've tried placing the entire sheet on the scanner and do a reflective scan. However, the results are always terrible! It feels like perhaps it's not lying flat enough. Or the plastic sleeving is just too much to scan through cleanly.
I've tried scanning the negative w/o the sleeve and while it is better, it's still terrible. It ends up very white and I have to bump up darks / contrast way high and even then it's not good. Besides, it's not a very practical method either since all the negatives curl and would not be easy to lay them all flat.
I've seen others with whole scans of their PrintFile. How are you doing this? Or are you scanning actual physical contact sheets?
Thanks!

Do yourself a favour and shoot it on a light table with a digital camera, then invert it in Photoshop. Much easier.
