Scandinavia Scandinavian Group - any interest to start one !?

SO - we now have a Scandinavian RF Club here at RFF but with a very broad definition of Scandinavia of course inviting members also from Finland and the Baltic states but with the intention to be able to post in our native languages - Swedish, Danish, Norweigan etc....

Last spring some RFf members gathered in Paris for the first RFf Euromeet. We are already planning for the 2008 sequel and so far, it seems we will meet in Berlin some time in April or May next year.

I think you´re absolutely right as long as the Finns are not included in our little Scandinavian family, but they are and should definitely be! . Theirs is a totally differend language, however, hardly related at all. So; for Finns sake, let´s stick to English!

I agree! I understand Swedish quite well, but I'm not going to start writing på Svenska in RFF. So, maybe I should join in from Finland? At least virtually, because I'm not going to participate any meetings. Unfortunately I don't have enough free time for that.

Swedish classic camera store LP-foto in Stockholm has published the list for their spring auction on March 16th, click here. Among the objects to be sold are a black paint M3 from 1959 with matching black paint 35/2 and 50/2. Starting prices? Oh, a mere 40kSEK for the M3 and 18kSEK per lens...

There are also quite a big number of user M2 (8) and M3 (10) bodies from 1200SEK. Surprisingly few lenses though, usually there are more of them. Also 8 Hasselblad 500C or C/M from 2500SEK including 80mm C lens and film back.


I would also like to remind everyone about the upcoming RFF Euromeet 2008 in Berlin on April 18-20th. It's not that far from Scandinavia! Check the link in my signature for more information. Looking forward to seeing you there!

The LP-photo auction prices are ususally pretty high if you want cameras to use - on top of the 40KSEK för the M3 you have to add a 20% fee also.... but it is great fun to what what they have....Jon

Jon, I know they're on the high side but sometimes there are bargains to be made. Somebody scored a M2 for 900SEK there a year ago.

Somehow I doubt that whoever buys that bp M3 will ever use it (unfortunately).

Emil agree... I actually bought a FM2n in mint condition for 400 SEK two auctions ago and I have picked up a couple of Nikkor lenses also very cheap.... /jon
