Scanner Help Please

I've been wanting to post some of my work in the gallery and have made the decision to buy a scanner... but which one? I shoot 35mm exclusively so MF isn't an issue.

Bottom line a scanner that will allow me to post images on the web and make nice prints up to 5 x 7 is what I'm looking for.

Film scanner? Konica Minolta Elite 5400II - hard to find. But has been recently available at B&H.

Well, I have a 5400 (I) as well, but given your stated requirements, it might be a tad overkill. If you can find one, I think Konica Minolta's DiMage Dual IV will serve your purposes quite nicely for considerable less cash. You can also scope out eBay for older film scanners such as Minolta's DiMage 2900.

My first response would be the Minolta DS IV as well. YOu can also look for a used Nikon IV, which should be around $300 or so now. That's what I have, and am happy with the results up to 8x10. I can go 11x14 with certain images.
