Anyone have a good way of automatically scanning half frame negs? I have an epson V500 and I'd like to be able to set the scanner to automatically seperate the frames and produce individual files. Right now the only way I can do that is manually selecting each frame in the preview... otherwise I just scan the strip as one image and crop them out in photoshop afterwards. Gets kinda monotonous after 72 frames 🙂

Jesse, I haven't tried to scan half-frame (I have a Minolta Dimage IV.) Instead, I have my lab scan them at the time of development. No dust and far faster. 🙂 Two recent rolls had 78 frames...

Use the "pro" or "advanced" mode of the software and scan manually rather than allowing it to create thumbnail previews.
