I've been trying to figure out the best way to scan 35 panoramic negs. on my Minolta elite 5400. I made this scan by shifting the neg in the holder between scans and stitching it with PS Photo merge. It occurred to me that I could remove the spacer that separates the frames and offset the 1st scan right and second scan left to cover the entire frame. That way I wouldn't have to remove the holder between scans. I have an extra holder, the only downside that I can see is that with the spacer removed the film might not sit as flat in the holder... has anyone tried this?
