I confess that I am a film guy all the way but I have found that I have been more and more asked by family to scan my pics so I can share them by computer. I have Photoshop elements and have used it for a time.
My problem is that when I scan a print the image on the screen (jpeg) that I see on my computer looks like it was very dusty when scanned. That is not the case and the prints and the plate were clean and dust free. When I make prints from the machine they are fine. I have a Canon Pixma PM 450 scanner printer.
Any help would be great!
Thanks!!

Oh I forgot to mention the images are color and the spots are like white dust.
Thanks

Real Men Shoot Film.
The film is dirty or the glass. The spots may be so small you cannot see them but the scanner does because it scans at such high magnification.
