Scanning?

Nikon has great film-dedicated scanners; the Coolscan V ED is an incredible sub-$500 scanner but it only does 35mm. The (Nikon) 5000 and 9000 scanners do MF, but also cost far more than the V.

I went through this not long ago and came to the conclusion that while it's not the cheapest, the best and best bang for the buck ultimately is the Nikon Coolscan V. Buying used is really risky. A year or two ago, I would have bought a Minolta, but they're out of that business and at this point I don't want to buy one of these products that doesn't have good ongoing support by the manufacturer.
