I was too slow ordering some more Rollei Retro 80S (120 format)and there doesn't seem to be any around on the web! From what I can gather there will be a run in the New Year.
Does anyone know how Rollei Superpan 200 compares? Is it also super-smooth with no grain? And if you have used it with an IR filter, what EI do you rate it at?
Thanks for any replies!

PS: mentioning IR capabilities of Rollei films, my testing showed that "best results" with a Hoya R72 filter, 80S was rated EI3 whereas 400IR was rated EI 1.5. So the slower film was faster 😛

Very strange, both fotoimpex and macodirect is out of stock of Retro 80s in 120....anyone have some info on this...?

Quite normal, Rollei don't make film they have no production facilities. What they do is order in from their supplier.
The way they operate is to wait until the supply chain is empty and stocks low before they re-order.
Any stock now listed is from the last batch, there is some around if you look.

FYI, Latest from Ag photographics:

"Currently Rollei film is on back order, but expected in the next couple of weeks"

Cheers

All Rollei S (S)ynthetic series films are coming from Agfa Gevaert. So the assy elsewhere for 35mm and 120 roll film costs some time. (S)uperpan 200 is exactly the same emulsion as Retro 400S. In this way the Superpan 200 120 roll film is in the sales out. 135-36 is already gone and the 135-36 Retro 400S single packing is also in the sales out. And a very few Rollei Retro 100 Tonal 135-36, produced by Efke are very low in price now. The last one is a real Orthopan film. It is a pity this film can not be produced anymore. Alternative the new Rollei Ortho 25 from the last exclusive ORWO Filmotec production.
