My wife and I joined a group tour and we spent 3 days traveling around Ishikawa and Fukui Prefecture.
One good thing about group tours is that you're forced to go places that you'd probably never ever visit in your lifetime. We had a lot of fun and visited many interesting places.

All the best,
Mike

On our first night of the tour we stayed at Katayamazu Onsen town in the APA Hotel & Resort.
Our room was facing toward Lake Shibayama.

On our first day one of the places we visited was "Tsukiusagi no Sato", a park in which friendly rabbits roam free and humans can feed and pet them. This is what I mean when I said group tours get people to go places they'd never visit on their own.

Second day of the tour and the first place to visit is the "Motorcar Museum of Japan"

There are three full floors and two mezzanine floors holding about 500 cars. When we entered the museum staff told us to go to the top floor first and work our way down. We spent a couple hours here.

After the car museum the next stop on our tour was the cliffs of Tōjinbō!
Our tour guide is the guy holding the small flag. This is an unguided tour. The guides job is just to get us to where we need to go and then tell us what time the bus will depart; after that we're free to roam about as we please. In this location we were given about 3 hours of free time and that included us finding a place to eat lunch; and there were plenty of places to do that.

Once we were released most of the people immediately started walking all over the first cliff they saw, but my wife said we should walk to the end of the cliffs and slowly work our way back. It was a good idea.

This was the point where we stopped and started working our way back.

The cliffs of Tojinbo have been used as a location in many movies and TV shows.

Regrettably it was a flat day; white sky and no wind/wave action. However, there was plenty of heat and humidity! When the conditions are right this place is a landscape photographers dream come true. These are the last 3 pictures for Tojinbo.
