Tested out the new Sigma 30mm DN lens on the 5n during a trip to Montreal this past weekend. Lens is light, cheap (esp compared to M mount lenses, has decent but not perfect AF, and is a fairly sharp lens.

I'll have to run some tests compared to the 35mm Summarit, but overall I'm happy with this lens.

Glad you're enjoying the lens. Fairly sharp? I've yet to use a lens shaper on NEX, myself. I've been meaning to do a comparison with the Contax G 45.

I've also used the 50mm Summilux and 50mm Planar with the NEX and those seem to be sharper at f/2.8. But for a cost, the 30mm DN wins hands down!

I have both Sigma lenses in MFT and am very pleased with the results. Lenses are very light weight, which fits well with my style. Well done Sigma.

I'll have to try out my 19mm - my first impression wasn't the best, but I'll see if a change in subject matter helps.

I do like that they have the 46mm filter threading as I have some in that size already.

The shots look good, though hard to tell from the small samples. After some frustrations with the 30mm I am beginning to like it. AF is good but slightly slow compared to the Sony 16mm. Sharpness and colour balance seem very good on the Sony sensor.

You can see larger versions here - click through to larger images from the list.

The first image was cropped a bit - the original has about 15% more around the edges.
