no insult meant to those who may suffer from this affliction...

i have both the xpro1 and the xe1 bodies and a few fuji lenses as well.
sometimes i shoot with both bodies and sometimes i shoot with only one.
at times i use the bigger xp1 body exclusively and other times i use the smaller xe1 body exclusively.

when shooting with the bigger body i appreciate it size and the ability to use an optical finder as well as the evf.
when shooting with the smaller body i also appreciate it's size and love using the evf alone.
i like using the rear lcd on the back of both bodies.
whats strange is how i can really like and focus on each body when using it without the other.
if i were left with the xp1 i could be very happy having only it...but if left with only the xe1...i could be happy with it!

this is a rare and wonderful situation to be in.

Sounds like it! I saw an X-Pro1 for the first time over the weekend and it seemed like a fine camera. I like the shots you've taken with the Fujis that I've seen in photo threads, too.

I also find the X-Pro1 a joy to use. More so than any other camera I've ever used (and I've used a lot).

Yup, the X-Pro1 is a lot of fun, and delivers beautiful images. Unfortunately, the 55-200 won't be available in Taiwan until mid-July at the earliest, too late for some of the events I have planned.

If the camera isn't creating ghost images out of nowhere, feels is being persecuted or being used as an NSA surveillance device, I think that instead of "schizophrenic" what you're looking for is, if not "bipolar", it's "ravished" --I can't tell which from what you're describing.

I've heard excellent things from the recent Fuji rangefinder(-ish) offerings; I am beginning to strongly consider getting an X-Pro1 or X20

. . . .

I also get in a groove with my 2 very different favorites - the Fuji X100 and the Nikon D5100. Worlds apart in handling.
I love them both, but . . . when I bring both of them with me (one in hand, one in bag)
I cannot mentally switch from one to the other. I get in a groove with the first
one I start with and the other stays in the bag.

Probably just temporary. ;)

Glad you noticed the winky this time Joe.

Those fuji's are getting close to a digital camera I could live with.

I played with that X10 (is it) and was surprised how nice it was ... what with that and actually owning a d70 now, with ais lenses that is, and the panorama thing on my phone I worry for my soul sometimes

I had the both X-Pro1 and the X-E1 for a short time and couldn't keep both. Like you, I found that I liked both equally, but for different reasons. I ended up selling the X-Pro1, since it sold first, but I could have been just as pleased if I had ended up with it and sold the X-E1. I guess that makes me schizophrenic too :)

Me too. (But without the d70.)

You should try one, with the manual lenses it works like a M2, no auto, no meter ... it just has a tendency to blow the highlights like slide film

P. S. and the 105/2.5 is still a special lens even on that
