Yes that is interesting; long-standing legend says the Xenon and Summarit are the same except the Summarit is coated. So Brian's hands-on observation may overturn a widespread, fervently held belief! Did Brian say exactly what was different? I wonder: was it the glass, or the mount construction?
I used to own a Xenon, when I was in my early twenties (late Jurassic period). Mine was marked "Taylor, Taylor & Hobson" on the side of the mount, as well as with the Leitz engraving. These were made by TT&H under license from Schneider. I wish I had kept mine.
