My Franka-Solida IIIe is equipped with the aforementioned lens. If I went and bought a modern 40.5mm threaded lens-hood, would this fit the lens, or does it have a different thread pitch to modern accessories?
Are push-on outer-diameter mounted lens hoods available for this lens too? I make the outer diameter to be 42mm.

I guess it should work. I put on a filter and a modern vented hood (bought for a canon serenar from 1953) and both work on my Solida III

I should not have sold my Franka Solida IIIe.
It was a very good camera. I don’t recall what I used as lens hood with it.

My Solida III takes modern 40.5mm filters and lens hood. I’ve not had an issue with threads binding. The hood is a cheap generic and the filters Tiffen or Hoya. The lens is pretty decent given its fast speed for a mere triplet.

The lens is very sharp at aperture 8.
