Scratched the interior of the camera

I accidentally scratched the interior of my camera while trying to fit a lens (I should be gentler with lenses, I know 🙄). Should I be worried? How can I touch it up?

Sorry to hear that. Was it a collapsable lens you were trying to mount on your camera? In any case, perhaps a black marker might make the damaged portion less obvious? Hopefully the shutter is fine.

No, it was the most stupid mistake I would ever make. I was wondering how the VC 35 1.2 Nokton would look with an M2, so I placed a SLR lens on it to compare de size. I totally forgot that SLR lenses, as clunky as they are, have a more aggressive rear end, that touched the interior of the camera. Well, at least it didn't happen with a collapsible lens... so the curtain's fine.

Here's a crappy cell phone pic (sorry, I don't have digital cam right now). It's probably not as bad as it looks in the picture.

I think you're fine, certainly it looks mechanically fine, only one way to test it, go fire off a roll.

Touch it up? Many people at RFF fondle their cameras. That may be the same!

I use Humbrol Matt 33 black enamel paint, applied very sparingly with a very fine brush, to cover any scratches from repairs - it's not a bad match for the surfaces I've tried it on. However none of these have been on a Leica, so take that advice with an appropriate amount of salt!

Tetenal makes camera retouch paint. I have the dead matte: works fine.

But as problems go, I'd not worry too much about this one.

Thanks for the advise everyone. I developed a roll and I think it's ok, but I'll look for the paint sometime.
