Well-known
Checking over some new equipment last night, I noticed that the vc 15mm did not screw into the Bessa L so that the focus dot was at 12 noon -- rather, looking at the camera, it looked like it was at something closer to 11:45. This was particularly easy to spot given the scalloeped hood of the 15. I stuck an LTM to M ring on it and mounted it on an M Leica -- high noon.
Today, I noticed the same thing with the VC 21.
Then I tried mounting them on a Leica IIIa -- same behavior as the Bessa L -- askew.
Shouldn't pose a shooting problem with the 21, but I'm wondering if the slanted hood on the 15 results in vignetting.
I also wonder why I haven't read about this anywhere.
Anybody have similar experience ?
