Screwmount to Leica M

Could be good, could be rubbish. All depends on how well it was machined. If it is too thick, your lenses won't register properly. But for $10 you can give it a shot.

Hi,
I have tried a couple of copies and will now only use the CV/Leica ones because of the problems I had. On the other hand, this one doesn't look too bad and has been machined so could be OK. It may be cheap because it looks as though someone has modified it along the line and had some metal removed by the "Germany" name.

I just bought a knockoff, and it wouldn't lock-on to my new Bessa-T. So I bit the bullet, and bought for $75 a genuine Leitz 21-35 M2 adapter. My feeling is the the Leitz is probably worth $20 more than the Voigtlander, and I don't want -any- further problems. I can take my present setup out and use it, but I'm afraid of the lens twisting off, and hitting the ground:bang:

You probably should have sprung for the $55 adapter from camera quest. The cheap ebay adapters may or may not work, but in my experience the one Stephen sells are high quality and accurate. Combining a cheap adapter with a fast 50mm lens on the R-D1 sounds like a good way induce frustration.

Leica has stated badly machined adapters may damage the camera mount. Do not force if if it will not lock on.

I stick to Leitz ones mostly and have a few CV which are fine. I have put my micrometer on the CV flanges and they matche Leitz exactly.
