It would seem that one of the strap lugs on my Canonet has snapped off, A closer look revealed that it was just the screw that holds the lug on that had snapped. Not sure if the camera shops can help me, last time I had I had a screw problem it was with the same camera because it had no screws holding the top plate on. one shop wanted to take the camera in (probably because they wanted to charge me a squillion quid for screws when its obviously going to be in the Canonet technical manual what size screws it takes, they also had me believe they were going to be rare and/or hard to find or non standard when I was able to find a screw that fitted it from a relatively modern set of extension tubes) The other shop told me that they just don't exist these days. I did try a screw specialist, the smallest screws they did were 2mm and they didn't quite fit.

John Shriver, great site. ajuk, sometimes if you are CAREFUL you can epoxy a small screw on the doesn't fit to the broken off piece, let it set then CAREFULLY unscrew the broken off portion that is inside the camera.
