I cannot insert my SD card in R-d1 slot it seems to be a spring problem ? the card will not engae and will not be read by the SD card reader as well
Did anybody had the same problem
I am contacting Steve Choi to find out what is going on and if hecan fix this problem

Some SD slots are sprung so that it "toggles," making an eject button unnecessary. Sounds like it got stuck in the out position. Perhaps something is blocking it, or perhaps it's just broken.

yes I have tried other cards same problem and the card works on other my other camera

I think i found the problem there is a little piece of the SD card at the upper right corner that is missing and must be stuck in the card reader slot

Is it possible to fish it out with a small tool? I keep a couple of dental picks (no I'm not a dentist, so don't ask me to show my M9; I get the picks in the electronic supply store) for such purposes, as well as other uses. Long-nose tweezers with thin tips can come in handy, too. Or a bobby pin? Gotta be careful though. I would take the battery out.
