SD card for M9

I recently bought a M9 and now looking for a sd card.

Is there true differences in real life between Sandisk extreme (45MB/s) vs extreme pro (95MB/s)?

Not for the M9. If you were shooting an 10 frames per second camera or a camera with video with a fast buffer you would see the different.

There might be some different when downloading from the card to a computer.
 
The camera hardware has a maximum read/write speed of 12MB/s so doesn't benefit from the high speed of the latest cards. The only benefit you'll get from the faster Extreme Pro is you'll be able to copy the files off the cards more quickly when you put them in your computer. The M9 can be fussy with some Sandisk cards so I personally avoid the brand altogether nowadays.
 
I found that transcend 16gb and 32gb cards work the best on M9. Sandisk extreme (45MB/s) and extreme pro (95MB/s) have no real benefit on M9.
 
I would avoid all sandisk cards, I've used transend and Lexar. I have always used Lexar for work never had any problems I wouldn't bother with anything over 8gb you can get the best part of three hundred pics on an 8gb card shooting DNG (compressed)+B+W JPG.
 
I use anything but Sandisk for the M9 and the M8.
Usually, I stick with 4 or 8 GB cards.

Indeed, congratulations on the M9. As for SD cards, I use the Transcend 8GB and 16GB class 10. No issues for 4 years.

I concur with avoiding SanDisk altogether. I've had nothing but problems with them since I had to start using SD cards. The CF cards have been OK, but the SD cards suck. And trying to get them warrantied is damn near impossible. I had to email them and tell them I was going to stop recommending them in my camera guides before I could get someone to actually take me seriously. Then they sent me a half-dozen new cards, which I promptly threw away. After losing so many images to their corrupt cards I cannot trust them.

I use Delkin and Hoodman Steel. If you want the most durable Hoodman Steel is the way to go. Delkin cards can be swapped out in-store if they go bad. No problems.

Upon your advises, I will try to avoid Sandisk. Lexar or Transcend might be the way to go.
 
I have a SDHC says 2000 pix. I shoot a few hundred shots a day when I shoot and download to HD and backup to Dropbox.
 
The M9 is extremely limited when it comes to SD card performance. Faster cards won't really equate to faster read/write speeds in camera. But you will notice the speed when transferring images to your computer if you're using a USB 3.0 card reader. So save your money and go the cheaper option.
