SD Question

I routinely use 2GB SD cards in my R-D1s. The break in standards comes at 4GB where the new emerging standard is called SDHD. The R-D1 does not support SDHD.

Thanks, much

There's a Sandisk offer on right now - buy any Extreme card (sliightly more $$$ than the Ultra) - and you get a free copy of Capture One LE. Check with your supplier they have current stock with the necessary voucher before you nuy, though.

Extreme IIIs don`t make RAW writing faster than the UltraII but Capture one (THE Raw converter for the RD1 IMO) is well worth the price difference alone.. 2Gb is fine and offers around 200 RAWs on one card :)

I checked Sandisk's site, and there's no mention of voucher given on purchase of Extreme III cards. I asked retail shops in Hong Kong, and they said they didn't know.

Any info would be much appreciated.

In the UK, they're apparently waiting for stock with vouchers - could be the same in HK. Sandisk do claim the offer is worldwide. It might even be worth buying a card fomr the US, as Capture One LE retails in Europe for €99 plus a stonking 25% VAT. If you Google around, you'll find plenty of people commenting on availabiliy, might give you a clue to the HK situation. I'll flag up when I hear of UK stock.
