I just wonder if Mr. K of CV has a big surprise up his sleeve (a combination of all the desirable features of the RD-1, M8, and Z1 into one "Bessa/ RD") or is he committed to film? Surely he's looking at digital.

There is a whole "cult" of photographers who changed from the Kodak slr/c to the canon 5D because the latter is so much better as a camera. They are all quit sad people ; >) nothing can bring the slr/c look, sharpness and colors back. The point is that such minute differences are very hard to measure so it is not something easily "provable", but they have quit dramatic affect on the result, on the screen, but mostly on print.
If there was no M8 coming out now I would certainly have bought the kodak again to accompany my R-D1 if only for its no-AA look.
