Its a Polaroid Emulsion Transfer. Made by taking a print from Polaroid peel-apart film and soaking it in extremely hot water then dropping it in ice-cold water. This makes the emulsion actually lift off the paper base! I put it on a piece of watercolor paper and it can be stretched, torn, wrinkled.
I used to do a lot of those Polaroids. I miss it; Polaroid's closing saddened me greatly. Fuji makes peel-apart instant films still, but I have not tried to see if they work like the Polaroids for this.
