Washington (state) Seattle... any RFF members there?

Now the true Seattleites wouldn't go to Starbucks - they'd opt for one of the independents, such as Uptown Expresso. If I was still there - instead of being back in Glasgow - I would show you some of the best bars for single malts. I guess I now have to leave you to Mr Knox's good judgment.

I would have barely arrived at the airport SEATTLE TACOMA at 12:40PM. Let's aim at 3PM or so. I have nothing to do on that day. As long as one person meets with me at the hotel, I can walk with him/her to the chosen meeting place.
 
Hi Raid, 3pm would be fine. I can volunteer to meet up with you. We can firm up a time as we get closer.

And for the rest of you, NO, I DO NOT GO TO STARBUCKS! The Bauhaus (across the street from the Pine Box), was one of my favorites, before demolition. I only mentioned it because some people actually like Starbucks.

Since we're meeting at The Pine Box, I'll probably take the Bolt Bus up to Seattle. That way, I can have beer and not worry about driving back. The only question is whether to take the 6:45 PM or the 8:00 PM bus back to Portland. The place where I get the bus is a half hour walk from The Pine Box.

Hi Kevin: Bloody wet and cold here - I knew there was a reason why I left in the first place....Hopefully back in Seattle next year.

The Pine Box may not be suitable for Sunday if it closes at 2PM.

If the Bolt Bus still leaves from the International District station, it is very easy to get to. Two blocks down Pine is the Convention station (the entrance to the bus tunnel). You can take any bus (or light rail) from there to the I.D. station. You can also use it go up to the Pine Box. We've taken the Bolt down and back to Portland, great way to go.

Have a great time in Seattle! If you get a chance take the passenger ferry across to West Seattle during the evening hours.
Looking back from the west Across Elliot bay at the City while the sun is setting is one of the most iconic views
You can catch the little foot ferry from Downtown. The terminal is a shirt walk from pioneer square and pike place market.
I will not be able to meet with you guys.
Sunday is my Friday.... I'll be working.

The Bolt Bus leaves from 5th Avenue South @ S. King St. Is this the location at the International District station?

My one experience with Bolt Bus was horrendous. I was taking the Bolt Bus on the East Coast from New York City to Washington DC with my daughter. It was in November so it was cold outside. The Bolt Bus broke down enroute to Washington DC. Everyone had to get out of the bus and wait in the cold for an hour until a replacement bus arrived. Needless to say, Bolt Bus refunded all of the the money I had paid for the two tickets. It was definitely NOT a good experience. I'm hoping the trip on Bolt Bus this time will be better 🙂

From the I.D. station, you can go to the Convention station (just out of the tunnel) and the Pine Box is just two blocks up the hill.
