If you get a chance take the passenger ferry across to West Seattle during the evening hours. Looking back from the west Across Elliot bay at the City while the sun is setting is one of the most iconic views You can catch the little foot ferry from Downtown

I have read online on positive reviews for taking a ferry to Bainbride Island. The roundtip fees are $8 for a pedestrian. Is this a good ferry to take opr some photography?

The other is to go up the Sky View Observatory just before sunset starts.

Yes this is a good photo opp also. The ferry terminal is easy to get to from the Pine Box. That might be your best option.

Head to Bainbridge - a wonderful little place just a fantastic 30-minute ferry trip from Seattle. It's a bit more laid back and relaxed there; almost a little like its 30 years behind rest of Seattle. Remember though to take plenty of cash, as one or two of the cafes and shops still don't take cards. Just ignore the 'I'm Voting For Ike' car stickers.

Hi Raid

I wish my work schedule was easier I would ride along with you.
Riding the ferries is one of my favorite local "tourist" things to do.
One thing I would advise is to look closely at the Ferry schedule.
Try and get a boat back to the city that coincides with sunset.
The sun will be at your back as you face the city.
It's an iconic view and a fantastic one as well.

Trying to get someone to cover for me Sunday... it does not look promising. but there are a few days yet.

And for the rest of you, NO, I DO NOT GO TO STARBUCKS! The Bauhaus (across the street from the Pine Box), was one of my favorites, before demolition. I only mentioned it because some people actually like Starbucks.

I was so looking forward to meeting all of you at the Pine Box. I have had an issue with swelling in my neck. So today went back to the ER, and I get to spend at least the night at the hospital. This sucks, if I get out in the morning I will join all of you for some good times and some brew.
