I Finally got around to developing this roll. Unfortunately, when I went to pick up the film, I found out the camera store is closing. Owner is retiring and no one can get financing to buy it. Total bummer. That store is the only one in the area that will process E-6, looks like I'll be looking into mailers.

Anyway, all of these were shot on Fuji Velvia 100F, with a Leica Summicron 50 (3rd version I think, no tab, black) and a first genration M6 (red dot says "Leitz"), not that the camera really matters in this equation.

Photos were taken on the Kingston to Edmonds ferry on a cold November morning on my way to a SPJ conference at WSU. The people in the photos were in my group. Thanks.

Finally, I'm still tweaking my scan procedure so if the colors look a little off - thats the explanation.

Beautiful rendering by the Cron! I guess the Velvia 100 did helped a bit too. I dig the first shot, could almost be used as an advert of some kind 🙂

I hope you don't mind if I wax nostalgic a bit and share a few of my pics from the Bainbridge Island / Seattle ferry. Though not with a M6 and Summicron 50, it's close. These are with an MP and both a Summilux 50 pre-asph and Summicron 35 v4 pre-asph (for what it's worth).

wow, those are some BEAUTIFUL tones, mate!

Correction, I had WSU on the brain yesterday and meant to say UW. Glazers is still in business, but I don't think they process film.

I live in Port Angeles, WA. The town is usually known for the ferry that travels to Victoria, Canada. The camera store that is closing is "Camera Corner" located in the downtown area just a few blocks from the ferry. "Camera Corner" has been in business for 37 years and survived a catastrophic fire that shut the place down for a year. I just started shooting E-6 a few months ago, and Camera Corner is the only place for miles that will process slide film. I asked the other camera stores and they all sent their stuff to Camera Corner anyway.

Wal-Mart scares me, and it's a total hassle to get prints as they say the photos look professional and they won't print pro photos without a release.

I have a full 20-pack of Velvia 100F sitting in the fridge, I think I need to take some out and shoot it.

Several beautiful shot from posters here. The very first is my favorite. The empty benchs on the ferry is a close second! The first set almost makes me wish I had some color film. By the time I got to the RITskeller stuff, I was okay with monochrome again.
