Washington (state) Seattle RFF Meet #5: Dec 2 or 9

ANyone else planning on showing up?

I bought something for my trip to Europe...broke some sacred laws in our circle, but it had to happen, and now I have to sell something.

I think a few of you can imagine what I might sell.

I think a few of you might want to take it off my hands.

If you want that unicorn lens, bring some cash.

I am also bringing my Epson V700 scanner that I will no longer be using (as I will have prints made the old way).

I'm the new guy on the block- my M4-P won't be here until next week. However I'm interested in meeting some locals, and seeing some work to get me inspired.

I'll see if I can make it down there around 3.

I should be there. I just bought a shiny new Epson V700 scanner a couple of weeks ago. You should have said something. :)

well, I wouldn't need to sell it if I hadn't decided, on a whim during my lunch break, to buy a Nikon D200.

It is really disgusting, but actually a nice machine for what it is.

V700 sale is pending to another member, and it will give me enough cash to pay the credit card bill on the D200 for a few months while I find another job (I quit at the agency because 60 hour weeks are too long, midnight phone calls to Paris are too much, and my boss was abusive).

and I'm definitely NOT selling my 100mm. What was I thinking?

See you all at the meet!

Hi Seattle crew,

I know this is a little late notice, but if anyone coming to the Seattle RFF meeting has any of the following lenses, and photos they've taken with it, I would be very interested in seeing them, and hearing your thoughts on them.

CV 28/3.5 Color-Skopar
28/1.9 Aspherical Ultron
or any of the CV 35's

(also if you have a used one for sale I might be interested)

Cheers!

Sorry folks- I'm just not going to make it. Things have come up that I just can't get around.
I was really looking forward to seeing what everyone's been up to...

Thank you everyone for the lively discussions and general good cheer. I look forward to meeting everyone again in the new year.
Thank you George and Lawrence for the great prints...they will be hanging shortly. I wish I had more time to hang out.

Until the next meeting...happy holidays and keep shooting. Jason

(ps. have a great time in turkey george!)

Thanks guys for warm welcome- it s good to meet a few of you from the RFF.

I'm even more excited for my M4-P to arrive- can hardly wait to fire that shutter.

That was a great meet. Glad to see a nice crowd. Food was good, beer was good.

Two new faces to the Seattle area group, thanks for coming.

My D200 produced some very grainy images. I like the grain. Really.

It was fun, thanks for the photo's George!

Great to meet everybody as well, great group of guys, and that was a great spot picked out for the meeting!

New to the forum (not new to RF - first camera was a Zorki in the late 60s, shot an M4-P for weddings and fun in the 80s, now have two R-D1 units) but newly back in the RF world. Sadly, this happened after the Seattle meet. I have to say, though, that Feierabend is great! Have been there a couple of times after reading about the meet and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I hope there'll be other meets (wherever they might occur) so that I can get to know some of you...
