It's especially useful for the ZM 21/4.5, which is a PITA to modify and code for the M8 if you have an early version, as I do.
Here is a comparison I made with and without cornerfix (boring shots, ha!)
taken on M8 by ZM 21/4.5 with UV/IR cut filter, processed in Cornerfix; then Capture One with corrections for color and perspective; final processing in Alien Skin, modified.

comparing the two, it's obvious that the color on the second non-cornerfix shot is problematic, and it too more time, too 😱

Ideally, I'd prefer to have the Elmar 24/3.8 to use with the M9.
No plans for an M9 in the near future, however. And even if I do come across one, the cost (even used) would probably be prohibitive enough to dissuade me from taking it backpacking, where it would potentially be exposed to harsh treatment. So for the foreseeable future, the M8 is my backpacking landscape camera. (and for that very reason, the ZM 18/4 is sorely tempting!)
