I would like to try making some 127 slides; BW reversal now, E-6 color if available later.
The only 2"x 2" mounts available for 4x4 cm slides are vintage Kodak Ready Mounts.

These 25-50 year-old cardboard mounts must be heat sealed with a tacking iron.
After all these years can I expect the heat-activated adhesive to work adequately?

Not looking for speculation; I can guess too. Asking for input from an actual user...

I used a lot of Kodak ready mounts but that was 40 years ago, so I have no real answer to your specific question . But, I did develop an easy technique that saved much time. There is no need to mount 36 frames from a 35mm roll is you do a quick edit BEFORE mounting. I used a light box and found I could easily eliminate over half a roll. I had no problems with exposure and focus but there was always those that you could tell just were not going to be useful, so why bother mounting them. That editing is easy to do for anyone who has not already convinced themselves that they cannot do it before ever trying.
