Seis Del Sur at the Bronx Documentary Center

A wonderful show featuring six Bronx native photographers including my friend Angel Franco. If you are local, you should check this out:

Of course, being at the opening, which was attended by several hundred people, certainly biased my opinion. Here's some pictures from the opening...

The images were all mostly shot in the early 1980's, this one for example, "Domestic Dispute," by Angel...

Among notables in attendance were the former Bronx Borough President, actress Annabella Sciorra, Afrika Bambaataa ....

Angel Franco is a fine photographer and for those who don't know his work, check out the NY Times web site. He's on staff at the Times. He was part of the team, which also included the great Ed Keating, that won a Pulitzer Prize for its work on 9/11 and the days after.
