Selenium Cell Light Meter

Hello,

I have an old Sekonic Selenium Cell light meter that I have recently thought about useing.

I purchased it ~15yrs ago and used it sparingly. For the past 10yrs, it has resided in the leather pouch it came in- IE the front of the unit (and cell) were covered.

I have pulled it out and it seems to react well to light.

Should I be ok- or should I pursue another meter ?

Can you check it against another meter? It should be okay for the normal range of shooting. If you like to do indoors low-light pictures, it will not be very useful. But for outdoors it should be fine. I use an old Weston III selenium meter with my Zorki. I've checked the readings against my Bessa R2 built-in meter and they agree. Just keep it covered when not in use and it should be good for another ten years..
