How about we all take a self portrait and post it here in this thread. We have a few "this is me holding my camera in mirror shots", but this excellent self portrait by Pherdinand got me thinking we could do better (than those camera in mirror shots)

What do you say? That way we could better put a face to our names.

Hey Todd! Your kid is good! A very classical portrait that reminds me of 1950s movies! Excellent mood and character! Nice cigar I presume?

I already have one in the gallery: me
But somehow I like this one more, although I'm ugly as hell on this one.... Also, since this was taken with the Rollefilex and Rolleinar close-up lens, I forgot that I have to take into account the parallax, so I'm missing the top of my head...
But, I still like the photo - not how I look in it, but, hey...

I think that all of us is missing our tops of our heads. ;-)
It's easy to measure.
Have you got more than one RF or kind camera?
If the answer is yes then that's it, missing top of head.
Mine is definitely missing.

berci, I lost my head to RF GAS last year... And I hold this forum partially responsible for it!
To think that only about a year and a half ago the only 35mm RF I had was my Zorki 4, gathering dust on the shelf...
Now I have.... let me count...
Naaaaah, I won't count them... Let's just say I've got more than I need

Nice shot, Frank. Did you make that with the Mamiya?

Hi Nick. I really like that picture too, but it's a self portrait by Pherdinand! I saw it in another thread and came up with the idea of psoting our self portraits. I've got a good one at home that I'll scan and post tonight.

Thanks, Frank, but that's a TLR pic not a rangefinder! But i see the two following ones are TLR pics too
) pretty funny.
Gene, that's a very funny photograph.
I kinda agree with Berci.
The problem is, all my friends seem to agree with Berci

Gene _is_ the Evil Emperor...the dark(digital) side clouds everything.

Here's a self-portrait where I managed to get both the front and back of my head at the same time (and what looks to be suspiciously like the image of Lee Harvey Oswald is in there, too). Hey, it was 3 a.m.

Ok, when I do get a new (for me) rangefinder, I'll do a shot in the mirror or something on my first test roll.

Here I am testing out a Fed-5B with Industar 61L/D. Polaroid color negative film, ISO 200. 1/500 @ f5.6

I prefer to be on the shiny side of the film (that's the film base side, as opposed to the emulsion side) but here I am on the emulsion.

I used the wife's digi-P&S at arm's length, but (thankfully) not to steadily.
