self portraits

Frank,

It looks like you are shaping up like your old man - facial hair runs in your family, eh?

I prefer to be on the shiny side of the film (that's the film base side, as opposed to the emulsion side) but here I am on the emulsion.

The first shot is in the study, where most of my photographic atrocities are executed.
The second is getting caught in an early winter storm last November.
Last, this is what I should be doing more often.

Your 2nd self-portrait looks like "Crocodile Dundee". Love the 1st shot.

A young lady sitting across from me at a bar said, "oh, wow, cool old camera!", she grabbed it and shot this photo. She was surprised that the flash didn't go off and didn't know she had to focus it.

LOL, same sort of thing happened to me recently at a local new car show. Chevy salesman offered to take my pic, but moved the aperture to f/22 trying to focus, resulting in a very slow shutter speed.

Looks like the young lady had her beer goggles on :D.

(note, i will post a shot of myself so that appropriate retaliation for this comment can be taken.)

Hey! you look alot like my aunt! Except he has no long hair nor baseball hat
(He's a parlamentary representative of a party in romania :D)

By the way, you are late, it's afternoon here.

Greyhoundman, I was hoping to see what camera you had slung around your neck but it's just out of the frame.

Here I am contemplating wether to fix up the house or acquire another camera.

I have been very good the last 5 months I have only added a Koni-Omega 200, Yashica GSN, and a Pentax Spomatic to my camera arsenal. There is a camera swap meet coming up on April 10th. I have strange powers, last year on the 2 hour drive to the swap meet I kept saying to my self, "Must get Contax IIa, must get Contax IIa, must get Contax IIa." I went through all of the tables and asked all of the vendors if they had a Contax IIa, but nope. I was getting ready to leave and one vendor came back from lunch to his table and started putting cameras on it and Lo, and Behold!! he had a Contax IIa, which I now have.

("Must get Bronica RF, must get Bronica RF, must get Bronica RF")

Nice shot, Wayne! After you get your Canon P and Bronica RF, the house could use some fixing-up. If you have time! :D

We have a big camera swap meet on Apr 23, also about 2hrs away (Puyallup WA). I'll be there, but I need to get back into a buying mood between now and then...
