Off on a tangent...
Yesterday, I went out for a nice 21 mile bicycle ride and really enjoyed myself. I carried my little tabletop tripod and the RSS camera mount I like the most in case an interesting photo op appeared, and I had my new iPhone 11 Pro and the Moment remote release with me. So at some point, I decided to make a current photo of myself and the bike in one of my usual selfie spots by a Peet's Coffee in San Jose.
The usual chairs and tables were not outdoors as I expected so I had no choice but to set the tripod on the sidewalk... Welcome to the Land of the Giants Bicycle and Rider selfie!

It's pretty spectacular if you are willing to work within the confines of what it can provide. The 11Pro is a little more forgiving (three lens choices is actually very helpful), but the 11 is great too.
The built in app for photos does a good job for a lot of situations, but that isn't all that limiting since there are many great third party programs that let you take raw images as well. I use Adobe Lightroom Mobile (or is it Mobile CC? I don't know) and the raw files are surprisingly great. Nothing compared to a modern large sensor camera, but the malleability of the images is impressive none-the-less.

The standard iPhone 11 has the ultra-wide and wide cameras. The iPhone 11 Pro has those plus the portrait-tele camera, and is a smaller form factor (the 11 Pro Max is the larger size). As cameras go, the 11 will be the same as the 11 Pro minus the longer focal length camera ... which I'd miss a lot, but might not bother someone else at all. Both have excellent camera systems, the 11 Pro simply affords more options. Even the standard Apple Camera app on the 11 is terrific, but the Moment camera app affords more specific control. Both combined with Photos and RAW Power image processing apps, and Reel Director video editor, present an incredible amount of image processing capability.
A side thing: The ultra-wide camera on the 11 Pro is not capable of outputting DNG raw files, only the wide and tele cameras can (using the Moment camera app, at least). That cuts down on technical possibilities in editing. Another thing: Despite having the ultra-wide built in, there's still a good reason to have the Moment 18mm wide angle accessory lens. You can only use it with the wide camera and it returns about the same FoV as the built-in ultra wide camera when used that way, but the wide camera has a faster lens and can store DNG raw files AND the Moment 18mm lens plus the wide camera lens produces higher quality, crisper detail as well as better rectilinear correction. (I have a new Moment case with the mounts for their lenses on the way, since I have both the 18mm and 58mm accessory lenses.)

I don't use LR Mobile because I just refuse to pay for Adobe's Cloud. The Moment app does fine producing raw files, and I can use Lightroom Classic on my desktop machine, and both Snapseed and RAW Power on the iPhone, to take advantage of the raw files' additional editing potential.

One of the much advertised features of the iPhone 11 is the capability to take a slow motion selfie, which Apple has dubbed as "slofie." They've actually applied for a trademark for the term.
Riding a bike would have been an opportune time for a slofie.
Just a thought.

Since I was a kid I've been biking as my dad has enjoyed it since he was young and sort of passed it on. I actually never went into road biking as he already decided to go mountainbike (the old school "type" which is now dubbed as gravel). When I began to use the bike to get to places and bring the camera is when began to love riding.
Great looking fatbike and interesting that those tyres have no knobs. I occasionally wished I had one for biking on the beach or snow.
Phone is a great too, iPhone 6 which I had is a great snapshooting camera and I see with interest what the current generation does. No need to bring a small digital anymore.
I'm a lone rider, with a 29 hardtail and a backpack loaded with cameras. A Medium format camera and plenty of photo stops abound...
I should get a minitripod and phone holder. Have plenty of bike shots without me in the frame! I also have taken photos and videos while riding, yes, not recommended but I can vouch for the iPhone video IS quality!

I think you can use LR-Mobile to capture and export DNG files without paying, only the synchronization and some specific camera modes are a pay feature.
edit: but as you say, other things capture DNG no problem so not an issue, this was just an info post.
Nothing is able to access DNG files from the ultra-wide, which is really unfortunate!
