Selling my GSN

There's nothing wrong with it, and it comes with the original Yashica neck strap and neveready case. It's just that I have so many cameras it mostly just sits there and doesn't get used much, which is a shame. It's got the yashica_guy battery adapter and battery and the whole camera seems to work just fine. A couple of months ago I photographed a client's Bultaco 250SS vintage road racer motorcycle. Using the GSN was an afterthought as I had shot it initially with both a DSLR and an SLR. Just for the heck of it, as I had the GSN along, I took one shot of the Bultaco with it. In terms of image quality, the Yashinon 1.7 won.

$60 plus about $8.50 shipping.

Just an aside, Ted (I already have my GSN)

Have you ever been to the Shady Dell out there in Bisbee? It looks like my dream vacation destination. It's really far away from me here in Iowa, but I really want to vacation there some time. However, if it's a dive, I don't want to drive 4000 miles to do so ;)

Well, it's not a dive. The diner is located in an old trailer park. All the trailers are 30's, 40's, and 50's Airstreams (or similar) and they are quite fun to stay in (vastly better than motel rooms). Dot's Diner is an all steel cafe that was hauled from, I think, Santa Monica Blvd. in Los Angeles. I have photos of it the day it arrived and, of course, photos of it after its restoration, painted red and silver. I have some images of it I took with Russian cameras and if I can find them I'll scan them and stick them in my gallery (assuming I can figure out how to do that, as 9 out of 10 are rejected as being too large (file size). Remember, I'm a film guy, not a computer or digital guy so, for me, learning how to do this stuff is like learning advanced algebra - and I was an English major.

However, if I'm successful I'll PM you.

By the way, I live three blocks from Shady Dell. Dot, and elderly black woman, ran the Diner the first year, then retired and turned it over to Heather and her husband, who ran it three or four years. Their food was so good people were lined up (the diner only sat about 12 people, so they added a covered patio). Now Heather, et al, have opened the Bisbee Breakfast Club a few blocks away. The BBC will seat maybe 40, so the income is vastly improved.

I managed to figure it out. Dot's Diner, taken with a FED 2, is in My Photos.

Awesome, thanks for the post :)

When I first saw the website, I wondered how well a business like that would do here. I'd much rather maintain a fleet of trailers than doing what I do for a living now.

I should bite the bullet and fly out next autumn for vacation.

Decided - after much thought, and carrying it around for a week - not to sell it. Works perfectly and takes wonderful pictures. Obviously, once I started using again, and looking at the images it produced, it's going to stay in the lineup. I apologize for starting the thread.

I think you made a good decision to keep it. What can you do with $60? A night at McDonalds?

If you don't want it, I will buy it, but I think you would enjoy it more.

I recently received my overhauled Yashica GT from the G'man, and took it out for a test run, and each and ever exposure was dead-on perfect! The best ever!

If you've got a good working Electro, use it.

If you don't want it, let me know...really.
