Hi,

I’m parting with my M6 & lens, to pay the bills :( So I need some suggestions on a cheaper replacement camera that will still be a joy to shoot.

All suggestions are welcome but im looking for a 35mm manual focus camera.

Let me know what you think

Thanks

When I had to sell my M6 ( for bills and school ) I got myself a Olympus OM2n.

Its no M6 but its a joy to shoot and after a year using it with the 50mm 1.8 that I got with it I´m thinking of getting the 35mm for it :)

It is small like the Leica and has a good built quality and I take it everywhere with me.

I sold my m6 last month too, for I don't want to have a camera worth more than 100 dollar, but I still have my worn m3. a contax t2. and a rolleicord. all good and cheap.

Nikon FM would be the ticket. I got lucky and found a Nikon F with 50/1.4 lens for $25, a few years ago. It is in my bag right now.

The M3, T2, and Rolleicord were all under $100?

Leica CL and 40mm Minolta lens

CV Bessa R or Canon P with Canon 50mm 1.8

Can't recommend the second setup enough. I've not left my house without my R since I bought it, and that tiny little canon 50 1.8 (in chrome) is not only a performer, but a looker too! Got my whole setup for $350. Good luck!

Andy

P.S. - there's an R in the classifieds that was just posted. Get on it!

Something FSU and a Jupiter 8 ... Fed 2 maybe?

The Fed 2, if you are lucky enough to get a decent one, is dead reliable.

Or an OM-1 and 50mm f1.8 ... if you get a good one or are prepared to pay an extra $120 or so with Camtech for a CLA and battery conversion you may never go back to a rangefinder.
