I'm really am enjoying viewing the photos of the photographers here, I'm looking forward to contributing to this wonderful site.
I have many photos adorning the walls in our house, I even have the odd one that I took, I have to say thanks to my wife for that, I'm far too critical.
Anyway, people have asked me over the years what photographer influenced me the most and I kind of have two answers for that question....sort of. There are so many photographers that I admire that I'd have to list them alphabetically, but there is ONE photo that took me by surprise, emotionally/spiritually. The picture was taken back in July of 1969, I can’t quite remember exactly when I first saw it but I’ll never forget how I felt when I gazed upon it, hard to put to words, even today. The interesting thing is that of the three men that were there neither one of them remembers taking the shot. It’s not so much that it influenced me toward photography, but it did have a profound affect. I just thought I would take this opportunity to share it with everyone here.

Yeah! I'm a space age kid. I grew up with mercury, gemini and apollo.
Was ten years when we had the small step for a man and watched it somewhere in Sussex.
When I was accredited as a journalist to the 54th IAC in Bremen in 2003 and met Jesco von Putkammer it was the biggest thing happend to me in my life!

Amazing that you got to meet him Socke, without question he is considered one of the most prominent space experts.
